Slug Fund is proud to launch a student-led finance education initiative at UCSC. Our organization was inspired by the lack of accessible finance opportunities on campus, and we are committed to expanding access through hands-on learning and technical training.

Many students face challenges breaking into the finance industry due to limited resources and support. Slug Fund aims to address this gap by providing applied investment education, including portfolio management training, financial analysis, and the development of AI-powered tools that help students make informed decisions in real-world contexts.

With your support, we seek to build an educational platform that equips students with practical skills and industry knowledge. Funds raised will be used to support programming such as workshops, speaker events, and the development of technical resources, as well as to provide financial assistance for professional development opportunities including the CFA Level I exam and programs such as Wall Street Prep.

Our mission is to help UCSC students pursue careers in finance by combining applied learning with strong foundational principles, while also leveraging emerging technologies to enhance decision-making.

Slug Fund is currently in the process of forming as a nonprofit organization. Donations made at this stage are not tax-deductible and will be transferred to the organization upon formal establishment.
