Help My Daughter Fight for Her Freedom and Future

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. My 19-year-old daughter is facing serious legal charges that could result in 3 to 6 years of prison time. As a mother, I am terrified—not just of what could happen to her legally, but of what prison could do to her physically, emotionally, and mentally.

At just 86 pounds and still so young, she is incredibly vulnerable. She has long struggled with anxiety and trauma, and this situation has pushed her to the edge. I worry every day about her safety, her mental health, and whether she’ll survive—not just physically, but emotionally—what lies ahead.

As a single mother of two daughters and a service animal who helps support their needs, I am stretched beyond what feels humanly possible. At 53, I am working more hours than I ever imagined just to keep us afloat. We’ve already faced so many painful “firsts” as a newly single family—first holidays alone, first birthdays filled with worry, and now this. Only a handful of moments have been happy; most have been filled with heartbreak and fear.

My youngest daughter has had to watch her big sister unravel over the past two years, whom suffers from PTSD added with her mental health diagnosis', after enduring 11 years of narcissistic abuse in our home. That trauma has shaped all of us. And now, after being pushed out of the home 3 years ago, that we shared with my younger daughter's biological father, we are trying to desperately to obtain legal counsel so as to assist in my oldest with her growth without further damage from a possible prison sentence.
