Hello, I'm Silver and for a while, I was living with a roommate who stopped paying their part of the rent and didn't tell me until we got evicted this past December 4th. I found out from the 24-hour notice we received before then, on December 1st, which they missed on the second and gave us another one on the third. Due to my own efforts and habitability issues and code violations, I have grounds to sue my past landlord. I have a paycheck, but it only covers getting a hotel and feeding me and my cat or paying a lawyer. I'm going to use it to live in a hotel and feed my cat and myself as long as possible. Or if I get lucky I'll find a new place to rent all together. Plus, if absolutely needed, I can sleep in my car. I'm actively searching for housing, or anyone who needs a roommate, or if any of the homeless shelters around that allow pets have any open beds. Anything extra that I don't absolutely need when this is all over will be going to charities surrounding helping other people who need it just as much if not more than I do.
