SIFTA-Help Domestic Violence Victims Transition to Survivors

Hello my name is Tiffani Teague and I'm incredibly excited to announce the start of our non profit organization SIFTA as we bridge the gap from victim to survivor. SIFTA was organized to Support Individuals and Families Through Adversity. SIFTA offers heartfelt support for domestic violence
victims, at-risk youth and formally incarcerated individuals and their families.
SIFTA will provide a safe and confidential environment of healing through supportive services and prayer. We are currently raising awareness for domestic violence victims and the urgent need for emergency transitional housing.
SIFTA serves the community through faith and passion. We will not only offer transitional housing but will also provide emotional and mental health counseling, social and human services, provide job placement resources and services, mentorship programs , clothing, food and assist with creating a path to self sufficiency. All of which will help rebuild everything that was loss during life challenging times.
I have always had a passion for victims of domestic violence because I was a victim but as of today I am known as a SURVIVOR. I had to learn to not hide my pain because of what someone may say or think about me. I can say that I hide alot of things and did not want to talk about my painful and embarrassing experiences. I have always had the support of my loving family all of whom I love dearly and mean the world to me and I know they love me more than words can explain. However, through my trauma I did not want my family to feel what I felt, I did not want them to live in fear like I did and I definitely did not want them to worry about me. But once I decided to put all my trust and faith in knowing that GOD would bring me out and HE did. It was not until then that the horrible pain of embarrassment, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse and fear left me. As a survivor, I am no longer ashamed, I no longer walk in fear or embarrassment. I walk by FAITH with strength and my desire to help someone else survive. I thank GOD for saving, protecting, healing, guiding me and most of all delivering me out of fear and giving me another chance to live. He is now using me with the opportunity to help someone else.
Statics shows that every month, an average of 76 women are killed by an intimate partner and 2 in 5 women (41.0% or 51.2 million) experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence, emotional abuse and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime. Thank you LORD for my deliverance and I now ask, seek and pray that you continue to use me to help someone else bridge the gap from victim to survivor. I am now a voice for the victims who did not survive and we love dearly.
