Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and to read this bio; your involvement whether donating or sharing can help reunite a mother and son. I know this is a long story, but please bear with us- it’s worth it.
My name is Brittany and I am starting this gofundme for my best friend, Sierra. We have known each other for almost half our lives and during that time, we have become family. I watched Sierra become a single mother at 19 to her son, my first nephew, Josiah. I watched her work countless hours, multiple jobs, and make sure she did whatever she had to do in order to provide for Josiah and make sure he was well cared for. Sierra has gone through a great many things over the years and has been dealt a really hard hand of cards, but through everything I watched her be a wonderful mother to Josiah and pour her all into him.
About 6 years ago, Sierra was going through a really transitionary time in her life, she was going through a divorce, getting her first apartment on her own, getting back into the work force, going through a course in phlebotomy, and had a car accident that totaled her car and forced her to have surgery. Sierra reached out to her mother for help with her son, to help take care of him and give him some more stability while Sierra worked diligently to get her life stable for her son. Her mother, the child’s grandmother, graciously agreed to help Sierra with caring for her son. This was supposed to be temporary and Sierra was always supposed to get her son back once her life had regained stability.
Unfortunately this did not happen. Sierra held up her end of the bargain, she spent years working hard to build a career, a nuclear family, and a stable life for herself and her son. Sierra became a successful phlebotomist, working for many years in the medical field caring for others until she welcomed her second child with her husband and partner of six almost, seven years. Since they welcomed their second child, Sierra had worked from home as a medical scheduler while caring for their child so he can remain home with family. They purchased their first home in February 2023 and have maintained a stable home at the same location for five years prior to that as renters.
The entire time Sierra worked tirelessly to build this better and more stable life. After five years, Sierra finally was able to get enough money together to retain a lawyer.
Sierra has expressed to me the absolute financial drain this has taken on her and her family. They are a young family, struggling in this economy as many of us are- however they are pouring everything they have into this in an attempt to bring the child home. Sierra and her husband have tried to finance this entire endeavor on their own, however they find themselves up against a wall. Unfortunately, they do not have family to help them finance this, so I decided to set this up in an effort to help them get the necessary money to finish this case, to help ease this financial burden/debt they have, and to help keep them from losing everything in order to finance this mission.
If you could PLEASE donate to help reunite this family, I truly do not know anyone who is more deserving and is more of a supermom than Sierra. She deserves to go to sleep every night with both of her children under the same roof.
If you would like to donate directly to her lawyer fund here is the information for her lawyer:
