Help Sierra & Her 3 Children After Husbands Tragic Suicide
Donation protected
My name is Serena Carrier and I am Sierra's older sister. I’ve started this GoFundMe due to the tragic loss of her husband & partner of over 10 years. As some of you know, Sierra has been the income source for the family while Abraham stayed home with their 3 children. While some time off work is available, it is not nearly enough for her to navigate this type of tragic loss as a single parent. All of the funds will be used to help cover Sierra's monthly expenses for her and the children for as long as possible. It is cliché to say, but any support is greatly appreciated. While Sierra is surrounded by friends and family, she is open about her worry and uncertainty of the future for her and the children. She will never be alone, but to relieve any sort of financial burden will allow her the space she deeply needs to show up for their babies.
On Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, Abraham W. Kellogg took his life at his family home and was discovered by Sierra and her mom shortly after. This was sudden and unexpected to everyone who knew and loved him.
Abraham was charismatic, artistic, innovative, adventurous, gentle, soft-spoken at times, vibrant at others. He was an incredible and loving father to his 6 children and 2 grandchildren. You would usually find him in his backyard gardening or tinkering in his shop with a baby in a carrier on his chest.
However, in the last couple years Abraham struggled with chronic pain and mental health. In recent months he had sought out mental health resources, was attending appointments with specialists, while also undergoing intensive treatments for chronic pain. Despite the pain he was in, he fought so hard for so long and was able to hide the severity of the pain from everyone, including the medical professionals.
To say he will be missed is an understatement. The void which now exists without him here will be felt forever by those who knew and loved him. Especially his family, wife, and children who all grieve for their Dad. He is survived by his wife Sierra and their 3 children Sophia (10), Clarence (2), and Nina Jane (7 months), his boys Blake, Nick, and Rylan. Along with his two (soon to be three) grandchildren Jace (5) and Stella (2.5).
