Support Sickle Smile Senders: Road To Help Others
Donation protected
Imagine being a child, full of dreams and laughter, but facing a daily battle with a painful illness like sickle cell disease. As passionate high schoolers, we've been deeply moved by the strength and resilience of these young warriors. We believe every individual deserves joy and support, especially when facing such immense challenges.
That's why we've come together to create "Sickle Smile Senders." Our dream is to become an official non-profit, a beacon of hope that consistently brings smiles and comfort to these brave kids. But to make this dream a reality, we need your help. The initial costs for registration and setting up our foundation are around $300, a small hurdle that stands between us and making a lasting impact.
Beyond the paperwork, we envision sending much-needed toys requested by the compassionate caregivers at Children's National Hospital and crafting personalized, heartfelt cards that offer a moment of brightness in their day. Our dedicated student leaders are even personally covering the expenses for our website and online meetings, which adds up to be a lot of money out of pocket.
Our immediate goal is to raise just $400 by the end of May. Every single contribution, no matter the size, will directly translate into tangible support and moments of joy. We promise complete transparency; every decision on how these funds are used will be shared and made with our community.
Please, join us in this mission of compassion. Let's pool our resources and our hearts to bring a little more hope and a lot more smiles. Your support can make a world of difference for our organization and the people we will impact in the future.
