I have a friend who was homeless for 15 years. I asked her what can be done to help these people. Her answer really affected me. She said to just look them in the eyes, so they know they are seen. She said most people won't even look at them. This really made me think. I wanted to do something to help them restore their dignity, but what? One night it hit me. I need to build showers for the homeless. I asked my friend if she thought this was a good idea and she said that a permanent place to shower for the homeless is very much in need.

I went to work and formed a non-profit Corp called Take My Hand Inc. I found a property near downtown for $250,000.00. I can build 10-12 showers for women and 10-12 showers for men for $125,000.00. After the initial setup cost, I will need monthly income for soap, shampoo, towels, and utilities. I just retired in 2025 and will not need an income to run this but may need 2 part-time employees.

This service is very needed to hopefully give those who are homeless a little dignity to get headed back on the road to get back on their feet. If you are able to help out, it will be greatly appreciated!!
