Support Shiloh's NICU Journey

Hello, our names are Mikaela and Sheldon Darnell. After 5 days of labor, on August 24th, 2024, our son Shiloh was brought into this world, 14 weeks earlier than expected. He has a long medical journey ahead of him, and we (his parents) have a long emotional road ahead of us that has been physically taxing as well.

Our son is in a NICU 2 hours away from us and is expected to be there until December if all things go well. We are now only a one-income household as I am no longer able to work with the situation our son is in and how often he needs me to be with him. We luckily qualify for the Ronald McDonald house whenever they have an opening, and for that we are incredibly grateful.

That being said, our bills and expenses have increased due to travel, loss of income from my side, food, and other necessities our son will now require when he comes home. We never expected to be in this situation, as no one does, and as much as we don’t like to ask for help, we can’t do this on our own. Every penny helps, and if you are unable to donate at this time, sharing the post is helpful as well. We thank all of our friends and family for their continued support and prayers during this extremely difficult time.
