Support the Hutchinson Family

Shayna Peters lived with sickle cell amenia. She entered the hospital this past October and was transferred to the Critical Care Trauma Centre at Victoria Hospital, London. She fortunately did not contract the COVID-19 virus but still required medical care for her chronic condition. Shayna underwent intense procedures to replenish her blood through transfusions, removing what contained the poorer sickle celled blood contents. Over the period of approximately 4 weeks, she fought a hard battle with her sickle cell crisis in the Critical Care unit before her tragic passing on November 19th, 2021 (aged 30).

Throughout this difficult time until now her mother, Aminter Hutchinson, has been the primary caretaker for her 3 boys; Makai aged 5, Kainen aged 4, and Silas aged 2. Aminter has been appointed as the primary Guardianship of her 3 children upon her unfortunate passing as per Shayna’s Will. At this time Aminter is in the process of obtaining legal custody of her 3 grandchildren, however she is faced with some substantial costs for legal support to this process. For a few years prior to this tragic event, Shayna has been in her own process of obtaining full guardianship of her 3 boys with their father since she believed him to not be a suitable and reliable partner, and furthermore not a responsible caregiver in the time of their relationship separation.

The children’s father is now pursing Guardianship from Aminter which is a primary reason for the elevated financial costs to this legal transaction. At this time, we are looking for any support via this GoFundMe campaign to assist in the finances for Aminter to complete the process of legal Guardianship .
