Hi, my name is Shawn Hopkins ( I go by Ravelli). I am a single father of 3 children. I've had custody since they were very young, 2 of whom live with me. I have been fighting terminal stage 4 cancer for 7 long years. I have been through multiple surgeries, including Hipec and the MOAS, which is an acronym for Mother of All Surgeries. I was in the hospital for 4 months, and my mother never left my room. I get scans every 3 months. My last scan showed my tumors growing. My cancer is unfortunately terminal and will eventually take my life. It's very rare; it's called PMP. It could have been prevented, but a doctor decided not to remove my appendix that was swollen and extremely enlarged, which resulted in my appendix rupturing and the cancer spreading throughout my stomach. After all my surgeries, I was able to come home. Less than a week later, I had a blockage and had to go back for another emergency surgery. When I tell you I have been through it all, I really mean it. My disability check is not even enough to cover all my bills. So, if it wasn't for my son helping me with rent, I wouldn't even have a home. Christmas is coming up. Both my teenage children are asking for a cheap car to get around in. My oldest son's car is on its last limb. My grandpa, God rest his soul, left me and my boys his home. We are grateful, but it's in bad shape. My carpet is horrible and needs to be replaced. I just hired a plumber, and he wants 6 grand to remove the tree roots in our pipes outside. I definitely don't have anywhere close to that. Before cancer, I worked 12-hour shifts to provide for my family. I'm not used to asking for handouts. But guys, when I tell you I really desperately need help, I really mean it.
