Shawn Harness, a local and beloved EMT to the Adams County community recently suffered a catastrophic and life-changing traumatic brain injury while on the job helping to train others to serve. Shawn is dedicated to her community, saving lives, and being there for others and her family.
Having taken a large fall, Shawn was airlifted for life-saving measures and suffered a fractured skull with intracranial pressure and internal bleeding. The road to recovery will be long and she will be unable to contribute to their family's financial well-being during the year to come while she focuses on healing and recovery; it is still unknown what her full capacity will be. In the meantime, her loving husband Mike will need to take much time to not only be her primary caregiver as her road to recovery begins but will often face navigating the waters of parenthood, financial stressors, and daily living on his own while Shawn regains her strength.
We ask that through these turbulent times, we all look deep into our hearts and offer prayers for this beautiful and loving family. Our goal is to raise enough money to help the family pay for their daily living bills while they take time to heal, strengthen, and support their mom and wife, Shawn.
With your financial support,
the Harness family will be able to focus on a full recovery so that someday Shawn may be able to return to her heart song, serving her community.
