Words cannot express how saddened we are at the loss of Robert Smith, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, with his wife Sharon and family by his side.
We remember Robert as the life of the party, always having a joke to tell to make you smile. Someone who would help anyone, anytime, anywhere he saw the need. If you ever needed to win at trivia, better have Robert Smith on your team; that man had more useless knowledge rolling around in his head than anyone we have ever known. He could yodel like no other, loved to sing to bluegrass and Celtic music, and most of all, loved his wife of 49 years, Sharon Wiggins.
In the past days, many have asked us, “Is there anything I can do to help?” There is. Now that Robert has moved on to his next life, Sharon is going to face many challenges for a while, not only emotionally but financially as well, as she grieves and deals with this unexpected loss. As Sharon’s sister, I’m asking for your support with a memorial fund to help with the financial strain to come. While the suffering Robert may have experienced in his last days and weeks has stopped, the bills won’t. Your contribution, no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated.
We also would love to hear any special stories you have to share about Robert, as we know his life impacted so many people in a positive way.
We thank you in advance for your generosity in Sharon’s time of grief and need.
Best,
