A devastating fire on August 9, 2025, changed our lives forever. My family lost our home in Washington, DC, and we now face an uncertain future with only the clothes on our backs. Thankfully, my kids and pets are safe, but the heartbreak of losing everything is overwhelming. As a single mother, I’ve been doing my best to support my four daughters and one granddaughter, ages 21, 18, 16, 12, and 2, while managing my own health challenges since my heart attack last December.
