Sharecropping Families in the Mountains of Bonao, RD
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Pamela, known in my Taino community as Anikaili. I am the Founder of Yaou Yaou Wellness, an Afro-Indigenous health and wellness organization, and I'm raising funds to improve the health and safety of campesinos (sharecroppers) and indigenous communities in my village of Sonador, Bonao. Our mission is to bring hope, healing, safe homes, and access to clean water and agricultural tools to under-resourced families in the mountains of Bonao, Dominican Republic.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in their lives. Your support empowers us to raise awareness and provide the means for these families to improve their living conditions. Every contribution helps us bring clean water and safe housing to families in need.
With your support, we can raise $15,000 to:
- Plant fruit trees and root vegetables
- Rehabilitate damaged soil and farmland
- Improve clean water access through better filtration
- Repair homes destroyed by unlawful mining and construction practices
- And establish an indigenous medicine healing center
Please consider donating to support our ongoing work in rural regions of the Dominican Republic. Together, we can change lives and bring hope to those who need it most.
