Update from Shannon: Chemotherapy is officially in my treatment plan — and it’s the most aggressive kind. Which means yes, I’ll be losing all my hair. As much as people say “it’s just hair, it’ll grow back,” right now it feels like one more piece of myself being stripped away. I already feel less than myself as it is, and this is just the cherry on top.
This cancer journey is brutal. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’m trying so hard to stay strong, but I’ll be real with you — I already feel defeated, and I haven’t even started chemo yet.
Chemo means more bills, more time off work, more stress. So I’m leaning on my tribe: please keep me in your prayers, and if you’re able, keep sharing my link. Every bit of support matters.
And one more thing: check your titties. 9/4
Hi everyone, my name is Alex, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my sister, Shannon Moffett, who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer.
After a series of tests and biopsies, Shannon recently found out she has hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer in her right breast. As you can imagine, this news has been overwhelming for all of us — but through it all, Shannon has shown nothing but strength, grace, and her signature fighting spirit.
The road ahead includes a lot of unknowns: doctor appointments, treatments, time off work, and the emotional toll of navigating a cancer diagnosis. I’m creating this fundraiser to help ease the financial pressure so Shannon can focus on healing — not hospital bills.
Funds will go toward:
• Medical expenses and copays
• Treatment-related travel and transportation
• Time away from work
• Supportive care and recovery essentials
Shannon is a deeply loved mom, daughter, sister, friend, and inspiration to so many. She’s always been the one to show up for others — and now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If not, please share this with others who might be able to help. Every bit of love, encouragement, and support counts.
