My name is Paige Davis and I am setting up this GoFundMe drive on behalf of a dear friend, Shannon Young. Shannon and I met through GriefShare after both of us recently lost our husbands to cancer.

Shannon and her husband Steve purchased a historic home in Dayton nearly a decade ago. Since Steve passed last year, several major maintenance issues have plagued Shannon and threaten to leave her financially devastated. First, she learned that the roof on the home was not only leaking, but not up to code and causing major interior damage not covered by homeowner’s insurance. On top of that, an electrical fire in the breaker panel forced Shannon to leave the home while the electrical system is replaced. She is getting no help from her insurance company. Repairs will be well over $10,000.
