This fundraiser has been created to support Shannan, a mother of two who has recently left an emotionally abusive situation and is working to rebuild her life.

First off, I would like to say that I am creating this as her best friend, and I have received permission from Shannan herself to tell her story.

For years, Shannan endured ongoing emotional, mental, and sometimes physical abuse that left her isolated, financially controlled, and constantly afraid of triggering further harm. Her partner regularly manipulated her, dismissed her concerns, and used intimidation to control her daily life. As the abuse escalated, Shannan's ability to work and maintain stability declined. She was left with limited resources, no secure housing, and significant emotional recovery ahead for herself and her children.

Shannan has finally taken the courageous step to leave, but she is now starting over with little more than her personal belongings. She is actively seeking counseling and stable housing while trying to regain her independence. Funds raised will help Shannan secure safe housing, cover basic necessities, support counseling costs, and provide temporary financial stability as she rebuilds her life for her and her kids.
