Hello everyone,

My name is Shanique Donaldson, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart after Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica, leaving behind unimaginable destruction. My family’s home was severely damaged during the storm — the roof was blown off, another completely submerged under water, belongings were destroyed, and our community has been left in ruins. We are grateful to be alive, but we’ve lost nearly everything we worked so hard for.

Right now, my family is struggling to rebuild. We’re in need of basic essentials — food, clean water, clothing, and materials to repair our home so we can have a safe place to live again. Many of our neighbors are also suffering, and the recovery process has been slow and overwhelming.

I’m humbly asking for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping my family get back on our feet — rebuilding our home, replacing what we’ve lost, and restoring a sense of hope and stability.

Jamaicans are strong, resilient people, but we can’t do it alone. Your kindness and support will make a real difference for us during this heartbreaking time.
