My name is Shana Im from a small town call bag hole st Ann I’m currently living in New Jersey and my heart is heavy as I write this. My family, friends, and community in Jamaica have lost everything after the powerful Storm Melisa tore through our area.

Homes that once overflowed with laughter, love, and life are now completely destroyed. Roofs were ripped away, walls collapsed, and flooding took what little we had left.

If you know my family, you know how hardworking, loving, and strong they are. They’ve always been the ones to help others now they’re the ones who need help.

Everything clothes, furniture, food, and precious memories is gone. What was once a close, joyful neighborhood is now unrecognizable.

My community are trying to stay strong, but it’s been heartbreaking. Many are without a safe place to sleep. Children are scared. The elderly are struggling to get food and water. Everyone is doing their best to survive day by day, but the truth is we need help.

This GoFundMe is my way of trying to give them hope again. The funds will go toward rebuilding homes, providing food, clothing, clean water, and other essentials for families who have lost everything.
