My father, Sergii, is a hardworking man and a loving parent to three children. We moved to the United States from Ukraine, fleeing war in search of safety and a fresh start. Despite the challenges of building a new life in a new country, my dad has always put our family first, working tirelessly to provide for us.

Recently, our lives were turned upside down. While working as a rideshare driver, my dad was the victim of a violent attack. He was stabbed 11 times in the head, face, arms, side and back, and spent two days in the ICU fighting for his life. It is truly a miracle that he survived. He has now been released from the hospital and is recovering at home, but the road ahead is long and uncertain. He is dealing with both physical injuries and emotional trauma, and he is unable to return to work for the foreseeable future. The car he was driving was also hijacked and severely damaged, adding another layer of financial stress.

My dad is one of the strongest people I know. He has always worked hard and asked for nothing, but now he needs support.
