My heart is breaking as I share that on August 2nd, 2025, my sister September M. Young, only 23 years old, lost her husband and the father of her son, Onyx, when he tragically took his own life. September and Zayne had been together since high school and were building a life with their little boy and their dog. Zayne was the main source of income, and now September is left in complete shock, suddenly having to care for Onyx on her own while grieving this unimaginable loss. Right now, September cannot work as she processes everything and tries to heal. She has so many bills piling up—rent, utilities, insurance, groceries, and the everyday expenses of raising her son. As her older sister, I’m doing everything I can to support her, but we need help from our community so that September doesn’t have to worry about these things while she grieves.
