It was just another morning when my husband decided to order breakfast from Chick-fil-A via DoorDash. I was traveling at the time, and he sent me a video from our front door camera that would change my perspective on the invisible struggles many seniors face.

As I watched, my heart sank. An elderly man was slowly making his way up the steps to our porch. Hunched over and visibly strained, he carefully balanced our breakfast in one hand while gripping a large sweet tea in the other. With each painstaking step, it was clear that the weight of the world was resting on his shoulders.

His face told a story of fatigue, with deep lines etched in from years of hard work and worry. In that moment, I was struck by the reality that this man, like countless seniors across the country, should be enjoying his golden years. Instead, he was forced to deliver food just to make ends meet.

As he turned to leave, a deep sense of helplessness washed over me. Why are so many seniors left behind? Why must they return to the workforce, often in physically demanding jobs, when they should be resting and enjoying life? This harsh truth compelled me to take action.
