Support security for Nadia and the Marine Market.

On Wednesday night, January 29th, 2022, well-loved store manager Nadia was assaulted while closing the Marine Market (corner of Marine & 7th Street.) Three men attempted to rob her, sprayed her eyes with Mace and pushed her roughly to the ground. One of the assailants was later identified from his dropped ID. Neighbors called the Santa Monica Police and EMTs. Nadia was back at work the next day.

Both present and past neighbors have rallied to share their appreciation for Nadia and the Marine Market. We all want to make Nadia feel and be safer.

Wednesday night was not the first robbery attempt. We are setting up this GoFundMe site to help Nadia upgrade the market's security. Nadia will strategize with neighbors to find the best solutions to this challenge.
