OUR HISTORY
Undaunted Women is a female-founded 501(c)(3) organization. In 2020, a group of compassionate women witnessed the struggles faced by their newly arrived Afghan neighbors and felt compelled to take action. Thus, Undaunted Women was born—a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) organization driven by a deep sense of empathy and a strong desire to uplift refugee women and families. Their mission would become even more crucial just a year later when Afghanistan faced a heartbreaking crisis. Undaunted Women is a 100% volunteer-run, and we believe in supporting our refugee sisters with low-barrier access to basic donations, connection to inclusive resources, English language support, and friendship. In 3 years, our grassroot movement has grown and now we have a volunteer staff of over 70 with 5 different teams offering services across King and Pierce counties, as well as online. Because of our humble beginning, we know that every effort counts, and with the collective efforts of even a few, we can accomplish great things.
