Seattle Barbarians Academy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is more than just a rugby club — we are a movement dedicated to empowering youth through sport, education, and community support. Since 2023, we've provided scholarships, educational guidance, mentorship, meals, and international opportunities to young people who need it most.
We’ve helped students earn full-ride college scholarships, guided adults toward tuition-free higher education, and offered a platform for players to compete against some of the world’s best teams — including the All Blacks, Manu Samoa, Australia Wallabies, and Fiji 7s.
Our mission is to create equal access to opportunity through rugby — no matter a person's background, income, or barriers. As a youth-led, community-powered nonprofit, we strive to support every player not just on the field, but in life beyond the game.
We are currently in need of support as we prepare for our upcoming 7s season kicking off this June. Funds raised will go directly toward:
- Travel and lodging for tournaments throughout the summer
- Uniforms, cleats, and equipment for players in need
- Tournament registration and club/union fees
- Meals and hydration for players during travel and game days
- Medical supplies and safety gear to keep our athletes protected
- Sustain and grow year-round training and academic support
