Help Our Family Heal and Grow

Hello everyone! We are trying to raise money to cover the costs of moving during a custody battle. My name is Sean, and I work as the head custodian at the school our younger 3 children attend. Tara works at a preschool as the Quality Assurance Coordinator. My son has been through a lot in his ten years, and I am trying to continue to provide a stable and safe home environment for him, and the rest of our blended family.

We found a house that is twice as big as the duplex we currently live in, and we are approved to move in next month! Unfortunately, I am also embroiled in a battle for custody. There are several attorneys involved, and while my personal attorney is helping out at an extraordinarily reasonable rate, the guardian ad litem is demanding more and more funds. I don’t know exactly what happens if she doesn’t get her funding, but I am torn because it seems I can’t do both: pay for the move, AND pay for the legal fees.

We have 5 children total living in our home, and as they get older the small confines of a 3 bedroom duplex are creating conflict. If we could inhabit the much larger home, everyone would have much more personal and private space. We know that there are many opportunities for donors to help out, across the world. Ours may not seem on the surface like a super important one, but it’s hard for me to put into words how much this means to our family. We appreciate your consideration. Have a wonderful day!
