Hello! We are Sean, Kris, and Lily!

We have some exciting news to share — we’ve decided to grow our family through adoption!

Our Story:

After years of infertility struggles and multiple rounds of IVF, we were blessed with our beautiful daughter, Lily, who is now 6 years old. She is truly our miracle — the light of our lives. Watching her grow into a smart, silly, creative, kind, and responsible little girl has been our greatest joy. She is a testament to the love, patience, and values we strive to nurture every day. Who Lily is speaks volumes — she’s a wonderfully smart, silly, creative, kind, and responsible little girl. Watching her grow has been the greatest joy of our lives. She is a testament not only to her own amazing character but also to the deep love, patience, and values we strive to raise her with.

We dream of giving that same nurturing, stable, and joy-filled upbringing to another child.

Our path to parenthood has not been easy. Over 8 years, we endured many emotional highs and lows through fertility treatments. Though we are endlessly grateful for the one successful round that gave us Lily, we can no longer pursue IVF due to our age and the toll it has taken. Yet, our hearts and home are still full of love to give. We are ready to complete our family through adoption.

Where We Are in the Process:

We’ve officially begun the adoption journey!

We are in the early stages of paperwork and the home study process.

Our plan is to adopt a child domestically.

Our goal is to be ready and waiting when the right match comes along.

About Us:

Kris (Mom):

I am a dedicated school psychologist in the Prior Lake Area School District, with over 15 years of experience helping children at the early childhood, elementary, and middle school levels. Working with kids has been my lifelong passion, shaped by years of babysitting, working in daycare, and being a special education paraprofessional before becoming a school psychologist.

Being Lily’s mom has given me an even deeper appreciation for the parent’s role in education, and it strengthens the empathy and understanding I bring to my work each day. Watching children overcome challenges and find success is one of my greatest joys — both as a professional and as a parent.

Sean (Dad):

Sean is an air traffic controller — a career that reflects his calm, focused nature. He is a supportive, loving dad who brings a steady, patient presence to our home.

Lily:

Lily is finishing up her kindergarten year and is so excited to hopefully become a big sister! She often asks when she’ll get a sibling and dreams about sharing her love, imagination, and big heart with a little sister or brother.

Our Family Life:

We’ve been together for 13 years and married for 11. Our home is full of love, laughter, bedtime stories, kitchen dance parties, messy art projects, family game nights, cozy movie nights, and the beautiful chaos that only a child can bring. We are ready — with open hearts — to welcome another child into our lives.

Why We’re Asking for Help:

Adoption is a beautiful journey, but it is also an expensive one — often costing over $40,000. These costs help cover:

We’ve always tried to be self-sufficient and never imagined asking for help. But we’ve realized this journey isn’t just about us — it’s about community, love, and the village it takes to build a family.
