Support Seamus Thornton: A New Car for a Bright Future

Hello all. As many of you already know early on Wednesday March 25th our faithful Coventry Planet Fitness club opener, Seamus, was involved in a rollover car accident on the way to open the gym. Fortunately he is out of the hospital and recovering well! Unfortunately his car is completely totaled and he is in need of our support.

I am one of the many members of the 5 AM crew at the Coventry Planet Fitness. Seamus has been opening our club Monday thru Friday for the past three years. His is the first face we see in the morning. He makes sure to brighten everyone’s day. Even when his mornings aren’t the greatest he goes out of his way to make sure it is great for us.

Seamus is wise beyond his years and SO very humble. When I asked him for permission to start a fundraiser to help finance his replacement car his first words to me were “I don’t deserve that”. I, for one, cannot think of anyone who deserves a hand up more the Seamus.

Seamus is an outstanding young man who is currently studying at CCRI to become a music teacher. I know he will go on to be a fantastic teacher and continue to be a good role model in his community.

Starting Monday March 31st Seamus will already be returning to work. As of now he will be renting a car but that will not be sustainable. In order for Seamus to continue being such an important part of our community he needs support. So let’s show Seamus how much we appreciate him by helping him get a new set of wheels!
