Support Scotty's Journey to His Daughter's Big Day

Anyone who knows Scotty knows he loves people!
His heart for others is immeasurable. He defines "Social Butterfly."
I can't count how many times I have seen this man, who is a retired veteran living on a fixed income, give his last $20 to someone he sees in need. He goes out of his way to help the people he sees around him. Whether it's cleaning his church on a Thursday afternoon or pulling over on the side of the road to ask if a stranded individual needs assistance, he lives as a servant to others.
And this brings me to why I have made this GoFundMe page.
2025 is a big year for him. His youngest daughter is getting married this October. She is a huge part of his heart, and he dreams of being able to go to California this fall and be there to celebrate her union. As I have said though, Scotty lives on a very tight fixed budget, and the financial requirements of this trip are beyond his means.
I would like very much to pool our resources for a deserving individual in our community and help make his dream come true.
I have not told him I am arranging this. He is old school, so never in a million years would he ask for financial help.
His birthday is July 14th, and my goal is to give him this paid-for trip so that he can rest assured that he will be there when Rachel Mae ties the knot.
I have priced out a week-long trip that is modest but also convenient for him to travel. He loves trains and often watches long YouTube videos of journeys in them all over the world. This trip would take him by rail to Chicago and then onto the California Zephyr (his favorite train). It would bring him through the Rockies and over the Sierra Nevada range where he grew up. Then it continues down to the North Bay. There he can stay a few days in a hotel and use a rental car to enjoy his daughter's wedding in the Santa Cruz mountains. Then a flight home to wrap up the week-long journey.
I understand there are a lot of causes and charities out there. So many ways to bless people around you. I would ask that you pray and consider giving a small amount to assist a good man for a good reason. Help make his simple dream a reality.
Thank you!
