***UPDATE*** Scotty has been fighting hard, but the chemo did not make any headway on the cancer, and as a result, he is now in Hospice at home.

Scotty and Michelle are extremely grateful to everyone who has donated already, and it has helped them very much, but with Scotty needed constant care and Michelle being his primary care provider, she cannot return to work. The medical and everyday bills are piling up. If you can help, any amount would be a Godsend. Scotty Long is an avid bowler and is quite good. A couple of weeks ago, Scotty was getting his bowling balls out of his trunk and got a very painful sharp pain in his side. It hurt so bad, he went to urgent care right away. They took some blood work and sent him home, only to call him as soon as he got there to tell him he needed to go to the ER immediately.

Upon arrival, they admitted him and did additional tests, diagnosing him with stage 4 cancer of the liver. After a few more tests, they found he also had a large cancerous mass in his esophagus. He has started chemo, but he is unable to work, and Michelle, his wife, is currently unable to as well because he needs help, so their daily bills as well as unexpected medical bills are piling up. Scotty has several procedures being done, and they are not sure when he will be able to return to work.
