Support Scott’s Fight Against Lymphoma

My name is Jeanna, and I’m Scott’s daughter. I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of our family as we navigate an incredibly complex and overwhelming medical journey.

Over the past few months, our dad Scott has faced a series of health challenges that have turned our world upside down. Throughout the holidays, he made several trips to the emergency room searching for answers, but despite ongoing symptoms, there was no clear diagnosis or recovery.

In the span of just one month, everything changed. Scott was diagnosed with lymphoma, and shortly after, we learned that the kidney he has relied on for decades is now being compromised—not by rejection, but by the cancer itself affecting it.

When Scott was just 27 years old, he received a life-saving kidney transplant. That transplant gave him over two decades of life, years where he worked hard, showed up for his family, and lived fully. Now at only 52, he is facing another life-altering chapter.

Scott has always led a healthy, active life. He has been deeply involved in sports both as an athlete and a coach, and anyone who knows him knows his strength, discipline, and quiet dedication.

At this time, doctors are moving forward with chemotherapy to treat the lymphoma. His kidney is currently being impacted by the cancer, and while he is not in rejection, its function is being closely monitored.

Depending on how his body responds to treatment, he may need to begin dialysis.
Scott will undergo six months of chemotherapy, with treatments every three weeks, as he fights this disease. This means our family is now facing a long and uncertain road, including:
  • Six months of chemotherapy every three weeks
  • Ongoing medical appointments and medications
  • The possibility of dialysis depending on kidney function
  • Loss of income while Scott focuses on treatment and recovery

Scott has always been the primary provider for our family. He lives in North Vancouver with our mom and younger brother, who is just 14 years old. The reality of navigating this journey without his income is something we are now trying to prepare for.

Scott is the kind of person who has always put his family first. He’s worked hard his entire life to make sure we were safe, supported, and cared for. He’s a loving husband to our mom and an incredibly dedicated father who has always been there for us. Anyone who knows him knows his quiet strength and the way he shows up for the people he loves.

Now, we are hoping to surround him with the same care and support he has always given.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden so our family can focus on what matters most: Scott’s health and healing.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this page with others is another meaningful way to support us.

Thank you for standing with Scott and our family during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness, prayers, and support truly mean the world to us.

With gratitude,
Scott’s family
