Support Scholarships in Memory of Matthew Gund

Dear friends, family, and community,

It is with deep sadness that we shared the unexpected passing of Matthew Gund, age 27, and beloved son to Teresa and Mike Gund, brother to Courtney Gund and friend to many. Matt touched the lives of so many around him near and far. This families sudden loss has left us all heartbroken, but we hope to honor Matt Gund’s memory in a way that reflects the passion and love he shared in wrestling and music.

To celebrate Matthew’s life and continue his legacy, we are raising funds to create a scholarship for the Island Trees high school wrestling team and music program that Matthew deeply cared about. This scholarship will provide financial support to dedicated young athletes and musicians, helping them pursue their academic and athletic dreams. The beneficiaries on this will be Matthew‘s parents, and all funds will be given to them directly and all will be used towards scholarships at the high school.

Our goal is to ensure that Matthew’s spirit lives on through these scholarships, impacting future generations of musicians and wrestlers.
