Saturday Fun and Games is a program in the Sunset in SF for kids K-5. Many of our families are below the poverty level, and we provide care at no cost. Kids like our program because they meet new friends and have fun with games, crafts, science, and more. Parents say they like Saturday Fun and Games because they have time for work, errands, or classes, and because their kids are having fun without screens. Volunteers (a diverse group from around San Francisco) like Saturday Fun and Games because of how fun it is to play with kids for a few hours. This secular program is a collaboration between Christ Church Lutheran and a Chinese immigrant advocacy group, Better Housing Policies.

Each time we meet, we have expenses for food, craft supplies, and background checks for new volunteers. We also occasionally buy toys like hula hoops and costumes.
