My name is Sarith. I am a community leader with VietLead, an organization supporting Southeast Asian community in Philadelphia. For the past five years, I've dedicated time, energy, and passion to showing up for my community and fighting for all my people to have a better life.

Unfortunately over the past few months, I've come across difficult times. In late April into early May, I had an emergency hospital stay that prevented me from working for two weeks. Because of that, I fell behind on my rent and nearly got evicted last month if it wasn't for the financial support of a friend and local church I used to attend. With the worst stroke of luck, my car also broke down on my way to collect the support money from that friend. Now, I'm working overtime, hitching rides, trying to save up enough to pay off my debt and fix my car, all while trying to make ends meet.

I graciously ask you for financial support to get me through this difficult time so that I can take care of myself and continue showing up for the community I care so much about. All I want is to get back on my feet. Hopefully, with these funds, I can cover the daily costs of living, like groceries, paying for friends' and coworkers' gas for giving me rides, etc.
