Support Sarah's Mission to Aid Rwandan Women

Hello! I am Sarah Collins, a urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon. I have been in academic practice in the Chicagoland area since 2011, but I also dedicate my time to a global health mission.

For the last 8 years, I have traveled to Kigali, Rwanda as part of an obstetric fistula surgical mission through an organization called International Organization for Women and Development. There, we treat women with complications of childbirth, trauma, and previous surgeries. Our group works beautifully together for 2 weeks every October.

I have always personally funded my trips, but truthfully, I could do more with more. I would like to bring more supplies and patient gifts and contribute to the travel of a fellow (a doctor training under me to become a urogynecologist), who may choose to dedicate time to global health missions in the future.
