Our dear friend, William Fox, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 6/30/25.

Those who knew Will (aka Billy aka Foxy) undoubtedly knew him as a kind, generous, and genuine human being who was never at a loss for words. And his words were always frank and honest, often with a side of dark or self-deprecating humor. A true mix of New York and Chicago.

We also know that he didn't have an easy life, especially over the last few years in which he bravely recovered from a near-fatal car accident that left him unable to walk for months. Despite this, he worked through pain, often logging 6 12-hour days per week in the Chicago service industry to help support his family. He was very knowledgeable in the areas of hospitality, and a talented chef and bartender. These talents were often put on display as a social host for friend and family gatherings.

We are starting this GoFundMe to benefit Will's longtime partner, and also our dear friend, Sarah Jayne Parker. These funds will be used by her to bridge any near-term financial gaps that are left behind with Will's passing, i.e., Rent, Food, Loss of Income, Medical Expenses, Family Bereavement Travel, etc. Will and Sarah have a young daughter together, and 2 other daughters independently, but all 3 girls are part of the family that Will worked very hard to support. Those who know Sarah know that she has also had her share of challenges and struggles, having had a long-running battle with breast cancer (she is winning) and has done amazing work as a songwriter and performer, specifically engaging with young children and creating decades of learning opportunities through social interaction and the gift of music.
