Support Sarah and Jim's Path to Stability

Hi friends. We are writing to request support for our dear friends Sarah and Jim. Perhaps you may remember Sarah’s affinity for rocking Wonder Women themed icons. That’s because she is one. She was a rock in the IMS kitchen always bringing a smile and her sincere heart to the team. She would serve up the most scrumptious and professionally prepared meals and we all know she and Gail make the best pizza team of all time.

Unfortunately for the horror of late stage capitalism being what it is, Sarah found herself rocked back to back by the stomach flu and Covid and subsequently lost her job and housing. Like a truly responsible food professional she stayed home until she was no longer contagious, as health code commands. Unfortunately she did not have the necessary PTO to cover this time off. It is a fact that she did due diligence and communicated daily with her superiors with proof of positive testing, as a responsible employee would. Unfortunately, due to inhumane HR protocols, she was let go. Due to this she and her family lost their housing and she was the sole financial support for her family including her beloved teenage daughter, Gracie. Due to these unfortunate and quite frankly unfair circumstances, Sarah and her family will now be jobless and houseless in less than two weeks and must find an immediate solution by May 19.

During their time at IMS, Sarah and Jim have remained committed to their personal and familial healing and wellbeing of body, mind and spirit. Our aim is to provide them with the necessary funds to take the pressure off so that they can navigate this transition with ease, focus on their family and maintain access to the resources such as healthy food, shelter and health care access that they deserve. For this reason our goal is to raise $21,000 so that they can be supported to navigate their way to long term stability and wellbeing as they navigate this challenging transition.
