Sandra Lindley is a beloved member of our community, known for her big heart and her willingness to help others. Whether she’s welcoming new neighbors with her famous casseroles, supporting her grandchildren, or opening her home to family in need, Sandra has always put others first. Just a few months ago, she took in her grandson after a car accident, helping him get back on his feet. Her kindness and generosity have touched so many lives.

Sandra is also a talented jewelry designer, a wonderful cook, and an avid birdwatcher. She finds joy in creating beautiful things and sharing meals with friends and family. Unfortunately, Sandra suffers from trigeminal neuralgia, a painful neurological condition that has made it difficult for her to enjoy her favorite activities. The pain and disorientation have left her unable to participate in water aerobics, birdwatching, or even visit with friends as she once did. Recently, during a spell of disorientation, Sandra lost her wallet while shopping, creating a real hardship for her as a low-income senior.

Life hasn’t been easy for Sandra. She lost both her home and her job in the Almeda fire in 2020, and at 80, finding work has been nearly impossible. Despite these challenges, Sandra remains hopeful and looks forward to volunteering at St Vincent DePaul when her health improves. Asking for help is not easy for her, but the thought of her community coming together to support her brings tears of gratitude to her eyes.
