August Update: The family would like to thank each and every one of you that have donated, prayed, sent well wishes, and checking in on Sam during this time. The road to recovery is long but we know with God all things are possible! The kidney is strong just like Mike and is working to get Sam in good health. Sam will now have to travel weekly to Cincinnati for his checkups through October. Please share, donate & pray for Sam and his family.
Update on Sam : I’ve had a lot of people in my messenger checking on him and we really appreciate all the love that has been shown. We are now at day 16 in Cincinnati. He is doing pretty good. There are still a few things and plans that the doctors are trying to put in place before coming home on Monday, but all in all things are going very well and we are truly blessed. please just continue to pray for us and Huguely family.thanks ! #donatelife #transplantjourney#roadtorecovery

Hi family and friends!
Creating this page is truly a blessing in the midst of many STORMS. I come to you today asking for your support in helping a man of many words! Sam has made a great impact in many lives and now it's time for us to help him during this time we have all been praying for. While this gift has been given during a very difficult and heartbreaking time, GOD IS ALWAYS IN THE BLESSING BUSINESS.
Our family wants to thank the Huguely/Olinger/Warren family for this new gift of life for Sam. You have endured a great loss and to think of others and their life is nothing but GOD's strength. We can't thank you enough.
Sam has been on dialysis for the last 4 years and every step of the way he has had a smile on his face. He never complains and he always makes sure everyone is okay while fighting for his life. 3 days out of a week he is on a machine that helps keep him alive. Sam loves his wife, family, community, and most importantly GOD. He truly wouldn't be where he is today without GOD's grace!
I come to you today because Sam has been given a second chance at life. He has been gifted his cousin's kidney. While we grieve for the loss of Mike, we shout HALLELUJAH for the gift he is giving to Sam. The expense of this will greatly impact Sam and his wife Krista. I come to you asking for first prayers, secondly, donate to his healing process, and thirdly for you to consider becoming an organ donor. Because Mike was a donor he is saving multiple lives and one is in his own family! We thank you in advance for any of the above!
Love,
The Family
- This will be the only Gofundme account as I have permission from Sam and his wife to do so.
