We are Peter and Lori Wilkinson, Sam's (Wyatt's) parents ane we are fundraising for our son Sam, who has recently been hospitalized and has been diagnosed with Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia, a rare and dangerous condition where your body’s immune system destroys your red blood cells faster than it can produce them.
We'll let Sam explain more; there is a message from him below.
Hi, my name is Sam (Wyatt) Wilkinson. I’m 29, and this past week my life turned upside down. Out of nowhere, I got severely sick and ended up hospitalized, where I was diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia — a rare and dangerous condition where my own immune system attacks my red blood cells.
I’ve been hospitalized, gone through a couple of blood transfusions, and started strong treatments (including steroids and immune therapy) to stabilize my body. Thankfully, I’m showing signs of recovery, but I have a long road ahead — both medically and financially.
Because of this illness, I’ll be facing major hospital bills, ongoing treatments, and extended time away from work. As a dad and someone who’s usually very active in my job and community, it’s overwhelming to suddenly need help — but I know I can’t do this alone.
If you’re able, any donation will go directly toward my medical expenses and helping me keep life stable while I focus on healing. Even if you can’t give, your prayers, support, and shares all mean the world to me.
Thank you for walking with me through this unexpected season.
With love and gratitude,
Sam Wilkinson
