Support Samm and Her Girls
Our beloved Samm recently lost her job and could really use our help covering rent and childcare while she searches for her next opportunity.
Samm is a devoted single mom raising two incredible daughters—Ximena (10) and Naomi (5). Ximena is full of curiosity, creativity, and natural leadership, while Naomi brings laughter, sparkle, and endless imagination everywhere she goes. Together, they’re a small but mighty trio who have faced more than their share of challenges—yet still meet each day with love, humor, and the brightest smiles they can muster.
Life has been a struggle for all three of them, but they continue to persevere, doing their best to create stability, joy, and hope in the middle of uncertainty.
As many of us know, Samm has spent years caring for others—through her work in nursing, her community, and her friendships. She’s the one who shows up with compassion, creativity, and heart, even when she’s running on empty. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
The job market is tough right now, and we’re hoping to help cover essential expenses— rent and childcare—for the next six months while Samm gets back on her feet. This support will give her and the girls the breathing room and security they need to rebuild.
Samm has been there for me in so many ways, and when well-resourced, is a great asset to our community. As I work toward building stronger community and fostering greater mutual aid in all its forms during these frightening times, I want to do what I can to bring more of us together and raise more of us up so that we can all benefit from one another, building a web of support that we can all be a part of.
Anything you can contribute—whether it’s a donation, sharing this page, or sending kind words—makes a real difference. Every bit helps keep Samm and her girls safe, supported, and surrounded by love.
Thank you for helping this beautiful family persevere through a challenging chapter and for showing Samm the same care she’s always shown others.
