Sam Garner is a devoted husband, father, and friend who has always inspired those around him with his strength and determination. As a champion weight lifter, Sam earned several medals and trophies, and his commitment to his family and community has always been unwavering. Over the past year, Sam and his wife Carmen have faced an incredibly difficult journey after Sam was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. The illness has changed their lives completely, bringing emotional and financial challenges that have tested their resilience.

For more than a year, Sam and Carmen have been traveling regularly to Charleston, WV for treatment. Each trip brings new expenses—gas, food, motel stays, and vehicle upkeep—all while trying to keep up with bills at home. Their neighbors have stepped in to help with mowing and upkeep, but the financial strain continues to grow. Through it all, Sam has never stopped fighting. His determination to keep going and provide for his family is evident every day.

Sam’s greatest wish is to ensure Carmen and their 6-year-old son, Arthur, are not alone in the future. He hopes to put a mobile home on their lot for Carmen’s mother and sisters, so the family can stay together and support each other no matter what comes next.
