This is my dad, Salvador Alvarez Chavez. On Monday morning August 18th, 2025, at around 6:30am-7am My dad was pulled over by what he thought was police cruiser, turns out it was ICE. The vehicle was following him from our home until they made the stop, when doing so my dad pulled over , then three masked ICE agents walked up to my dads truck and pulled him out of his truck, asking for his keys. He gave the keys to one of the agents, he then was told he was being detained with no explanation. He was then put in their vehicle, drove him for about 2 miles from original location, to then handcuff and chain his legs as if my dad was a criminal. From there he was then taken by ICE to the detention center in San Francisco; he is now being held in El Paso, TX. This is what America is. Taking people away without explanation. My father is a hardworking man who pays this country taxes and has no criminal record at all. I don’t believe he should be arrested and detained, I believe he should be at home caring for his family. He is our sole provider for our home and expenses, without him we’d be without a home. This is why this gofundme is being created to help our family with living expenses and legal help for him! Even a simple share will give us hope in this time of desperation my family and I are feeling.
