Salvador is a hardworking farmworker who has spent nearly 10 years coming to this country on a work visa, dedicating himself to honest labor so that countless families can have food on their tables. Day after day, he has sacrificed time, comfort, and stability in hopes of building a better future.

In April 2025, Salvador’s life took a devastating turn. He became the victim of a cruel scam by someone posing as an immigration attorney—someone he trusted with his dreams. This individual promised to help him fix his immigration status and obtain a green card, offering hope where there was so much uncertainty.

Salvador believed him. He was shown documents that looked official, and even participated in what appeared to be real Zoom meetings with “immigration judges,” not knowing they were all part of an elaborate fraud.

It wasn’t until December 2025 Salvador’s sister urged him to seek a second opinion that the heartbreaking truth came to light. At a nonprofit organization, a real attorney confirmed his worst fears: he had been scammed. There was no case filed, no process underway—nothing. By then, Salvador had already paid nearly $20,000. Everything he had worked so hard to save.

Today, Salvador is left not only without his savings, but also burdened with debt to family and friends who tried to support his dream of stability. He is facing fear, uncertainty, and the emotional toll of betrayal—simply for wanting a chance at a secure future.
