Friends! We have the opportunity to help the Mbelu/Salyer family through a difficult challenge and we need your help. The Mbelu family has been a part of the SFC community since Allie was a baby, and her 4 children currently attend the school. Allie's dad, John Salyer, has taught at SFC since 1987 where he is one of the school's most influential faculty members in history, impacting students in the classroom, as a coach, and through his beloved SFCtv (which he created). He has had the joy of getting to work at the school his 4 grandchildren attend.

The last several years have brought significant challenges to this family, most recently with an unexpected, unsolved housing crisis. This crisis makes it nearly impossible for their kids to stay at SFC unless funds are raised to help with housing and remaining tuition after financial aid. Our hope is to raise $50,000 towards tuition and housing, allowing the family to know their kids can remain at SFC next year while they figure out a long-term housing solution. The kids have a strong community of friends and teachers who love them, which is more important than ever right now, and it's a huge benefit for them to be near their grandpa during the school day as the family navigates all of this.
