Support Sakal South Africa Mission

My name is Shanna McGuire, and I lead the Sakal South Africa Mission—a grassroots effort dedicated to supporting impoverished communities near Johannesburg and Pretoria. My journey began after overcoming my own hardships with homelessness and hunger, which inspired me to serve others with compassion and empathy. Since 2020, I have traveled to South Africa at least twice a year, working directly with families, children, and community leaders to provide essential resources and support.

One of our primary focuses is the Mehlareng Combined Farm School in Bredell Erasmus Farm, Kempton Park. This school, located in a poverty-stricken area, serves over 600 students and their families. Through the Sakal South Africa Mission, we provide food, clothing, shoes, and personal hygiene products to students and their families. We also supply educational materials, repair classrooms with damaged ceilings and broken windows, and deliver much-needed books and writing supplies. By purchasing these items locally in South Africa, we not only meet urgent needs but also support the local economy.

During each visit, I work side by side with community members, school administrators, and families. Together, we shop for supplies, distribute food, and deliver materials for school repairs. I personally hand out school supplies and hygiene products to students, celebrating the joy and hope that your donations bring. My goal is to help these communities build a foundation for self-sufficiency and growth.
