Support Saffron Walden's First Ever Pride Event

Hi, we're AJ and Riley, founders of Walden Pride - Saffron Walden's grassroots, non-profit, LGBTQIA+ organisation. We are not a yet a registered charity or legal entity, and this limits the ways we can apply for grants and funding.
We have both given our time and energy for free over the last year to create and build up Walden Pride, and we are delighted that these efforts have led to a collaboration with English Heritage to host Saffron Walden's first ever Pride event on Saturday 7th June 2025!
While the volunteered time and energy of us, our collaborators locally and at English Heritage, and the free use of space at Audley End House & Gardens, are all going a long way to pull off this historic event, we would love to be able to:
- Pay performers for their time and work
- Invest in marketing to publicise the event
- Invest in limited edition Walden Pride merchandise to be sold at the event, with all proceeds going back into the organisation to fund future events
Organisers will not use any funds raised for personal use or expenses. All funds raised will be used as stated.
Please give what you can and share our fundraiser to help us to spread the word and get great attendance, properly compensate our local businesses and performers, get some branded merchandise to share with the community, and make Walden's first Pride a wonderful, celebratory day!
