Hello! My name is Albin and im working as a volunteer in Tanzania Arusha. Im volunteering as a teacher in a school called Bishop Kisula.
Every morning children as young as three years old walk long distances along busy and uneven roads just to reach their school. Many of them travel on foot under the hot sun or through the rain because there is no school bus available.
Our school is a place of hope — a space where young minds between the ages of 3 and 8 learn, play, and dream of a brighter future. But without safe and reliable transportation, some children struggle to attend regularly, and others risk their safety every day just to get to class.
One of the students in my class has a single mother who works at the farms which means she gets up bright and early and walks her son to our school he usually gets here a few hours before the teachers or other children playing alone in the school yard until classes start.
I am raising funds to purchase a school bus that will safely transport our students to and from school. This bus will mean:
• Safe travel for all our young learners
• Higher attendance and better learning outcomes
• Peace of mind for parents and teachers
• A stronger, more connected community
