Our movement seeks safe streets for everyone, whether they are walking, riding in a stroller, scooting, biking, using a walker or a wheelchair, walking/biking to a bus stop, or driving a car.

Our streets need much improvement to make all forms of transportation safe in San Mateo. These signs remind neighbors of the safe streets imperative, and to operate safely on our streets. Additionally, these signs call attention and show support to the numerous initiatives (both current and forthcoming) that promote multimodal transportation in San Mateo, including Safe Routes to Schools. We are eager to show the San Mateo City Council the broad support we have for Safe Streets for Everyone. Safety is not optional.
